One of my recent firearm purchases was the PSA Custom Single-Stage Flat Drop-In Match Grade AR Trigger. You can usually pick them up for 90 bucks on sale on the PSA website. I have to say it is outstanding. Having heard about the drop in trigger craze I decided to pull the trigger on this one (sorry for the dad joke but I had to). Having shot thousands of rounds with mil-spec triggers. I am amazed how much of a difference this trigger makes plinking. The brake is extremely crisp and has very little take up. It is also astonishingly light at 3.5 Lbs. making anyone look like a professional shooter with the accuracy you can get from the trigger.
There is one elephant in the room that I need to address, as you can see it is a flat faced trigger. Initially, I had no idea if I was going to like it, but I can honestly say that it is one of my favorite features. The curve of a traditional trigger allows for your finger to feel at home, but the flat face of this trigger allows your finger to feel connected to the action of the gun. PSA offers many different types of triggers but this one drew in my interest with the reviews and 3.5 lb. weight.
Another aspect that I love about this trigger was the fact that you are able to drop it in. If you have spent any time assembling a lower receiver you will know that it is a pain to align the trigger and hammer pins. Installation is a breeze. In the kit, PSA gives you 2 anti-walk pins with screws to hold them in place. For the quality of this trigger, I am surprised that it is only 90 dollars. Similar quality drop in triggers are go well past $200.
